2010 WELCOME |
- Silverlake Soccer Day Camp is back for it's sixth year in 2010 and we promise the same fun and skill development at Ryan Fields in Riverside. In addition to our experienced and skilled staff coaches, a number of outstanding guest coaches will share their knowledge and training tips with campers. We are all committed to making each camper's Silverlake Soccer experience a great one. Some old favorites are returning, including the popular daily World Cup matches, in addition to some new activities. Campers can dress up for Wacky Wednesday, show off their favorite jerseys on Jersey Thursday, and test their knowledge of all things soccer on Trivia Tuesday. DIRECTOR |
 Coach Johns, a Danville native, is the former Head Boys Soccer Coach at Danville Area High School. Coach Johns guided the Ironmen to the 2003 District IV "AA" title and advanced to the PIAA state tournament. He then led DAHS to the program's 300th overall victory in 2004 and was named the Susquehanna Valley League (SVL) "AA" Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2007, before stepping down following the 2008 season. He played college soccer at Division III power Elizabethtown College (PA) from 1994 to 1997. Coach Johns holds an NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma and Goalkeeping Level I certificate and is a member of the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association. |
